QUICK VISITS,3 PLACES IN SWITZERLAND.

BELLINZONA, LUCERNE, AND ZURICH, 3 places in Switzerland, that i took a quick visit too.---------LUCERNE is in Central
Switzerland, at an altitude of 435m. on Lake Lucerne. It is an ancient town in the German speaking area of Switzerland. It has one of Europes oldest covered wooden bridges, which is the centrepiece of the Lake. Chapel Bridge is originally from the 14th
century. Two thirds of the bridge were destroyed by fire in August 1993. It was reconstructed by April
1994. In German it is known as Kapellbrucke. Some of the buildings in town have Frescoes. The railway station and bus station are close to the Lake. A train to Zurich takes on average about 45 minutes. Bellinzona is one hour 45 minutes.

---- ZURICH is in North Switzerland, at the tip of Lake Zurich.. Zurich is a large Hub for railways ,roads and Air traffic. Zurich is FIFA headquaters in a suburb called Zurichberg in a wooded hilly district.
FIFA is in charge of the worlds Football. [Soccer]. --- The Grossmunster is a large protestant Church,with a lovely
bronze door, by Otto Munch. A train to Strasbourg in France takes 2 hours and 40 minutes.--------

BELLINZONA is in Southern Switzerland in the Canton of Ticino. The small town lies on the River Ticino, at the foot of the Alps. Altitude is 241m. There are 3 castles high above the town. { Castelgrande, Montebello, and Sasso Corbaro ].
The Collegiata church of St Peter and St. Stephenis in the town centre in Collegiata Piazza.
Also in the centre is Palazzo Civico, {Town Hall}. , with its tower and courtyard.. I entered part of the building, with its colourful windows and paintings. This was a short visit so i did not see all the town , what i saw i liked. A train to Zurich takes one hour 45 minutes., same amount of time to Lucerne.
